Drain Correction Services
Your foundation problems may be due to poor drainage around your home which causes huge seasonal foundation movement. JR’s Foundation’s drain correction will protect your foundation in Austin, Bonham, Dallas, Garland, Mesquite, Hugo, Sherman, and Waxahachie. Depending on the nature of the problem, we may install a surface drain, a French drain or both.
Surface Drainage System
If your house has poor drainage, it may heave, i.e., water can form ponds within 4 feet of the building which causes stress on the foundation and the structure. We correct this by installing a surface drainage system to collect water at ground level and channel it away. If there is insufficient natural grade and water cannot drain away through gravity, we may install a sump pump system.
French Drainage System
Groundwater that moves under a slab foundation can cause the foundation to move up and down repeatedly and damage it. We correct this by installing a French drainage system – a trench covered with gravel or rock that redirects surface or ground water away from an area.
